Body Man Jobs in New Haven CT

Gillette Auto Body, family owned and operated since 1957, is a licensed, fully equipped, “state of the art” auto body shop.

Our Auto Body Shop is looking for a Body Man to join our team.

In this position, you repair damage done to the body of vehicles. While most of your duties revolve around the body itself, our ideal candidate has some experience working with all the systems in a vehicle. You need good manual dexterity and physical stamina for this job.

Body Man Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for damage
• Repair body to factory or customer specifications
• Remove and replace damaged parts with power and hand tools
• Fill cracks and depressions and perform cosmetic repairs

Body Man Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate; certificate or associate degree in automotive body repair preferred
• ASE certificate preferred
• Welding, auto repair, and painting experience
• I -Car preferred
