Were currently seeking an Autobody Painter to join our team.

Our Auto Body Painter prepares and paints vehicle surfaces to restore them to pre-accident condition or to achieve a specific finish. We work on all types of vehicles like cars, light trucks, SUV’s, etc. This role involves surface preparation, paint mixing and application, and quality control, while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. The job requires attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation:

Cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion. This may involve using various tools like sanders, grinders, and masking tape.

• Paint Mixing and Matching:

Accurately mixing paints to match manufacturer specifications or custom color requests. This may involve using color charts, formulas, and potentially specialized mixing equipment.

• Paint Application:

Applying primer, base coat, and clear coat using spray guns, following proper techniques to achieve a smooth, even finish.

• Quality Control:

Inspecting painted surfaces for imperfections.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Color Matching:

A good eye for color mixes.

Attention to Detail:

• A keen eye for detail is essential for achieving a high-quality finish and identifying imperfections.

Physical Stamina:
.
• The job requires standing for extended periods and may involve some physical exertion.

Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, vocation school or certificate in Autobody Repair. Prior work at a Collision Center a plus.
